Activities In Action
Happy December,
Hard to believe it’s December already! We have a lot of fun stuff happening this month! We will start the month off with our Annual Friends & Family Christmas Party on December 6th at 5 pm.
We also have a lot of fun activities planned for December. We have the high school students coming in to help us put the Christmas tree up and decorate our building, games we will be playing are different trivia games, name that state, remembering Christmas celebrations with families, Christmas bingo, categorizing game, December IQ game, What’s the quote, the price is right, five clue what is it, coverall, name that Christmas tune, what’s wrong with the picture and hockey noddle which the residents have a blast with. We will be doing some fun crafts through out the month. We will be making table decorations, candy cane elves, snowman ornaments and ageless art with Xene. We have music through out the month with Heartland Band, Dave Marshall and Dave Wirtz. Every Friday we have bake club and this month we will be making pies, fudge, Christmas cookies and dipped pretzels. On December 31st we are having a New Year’s Party with the residents and each department will have a fun booth to go around to.
Friendly reminder, resident bingo is held every Friday afternoon in the dinning area. Bingo prizes are funded by donations. If you would like to donate to the bingo fund, you can do so by putting money in the donation jar by the front office or dropping off items. Items we use for bingo prizes include: clip on or pierced earrings, necklaces, new socks, large font word searches, knick-knacks, and other items you think a resident would like or need. We would love for volunteers to come in and help some of the residents play bingo.
