Carol Duvey

November 30, 1936 - November 9, 2024

Carol McNamer was born November 30, 1936, to Edgbert and Clementine (Bassler) McNamer in Dubuque, IA. She had to grow up rather quickly to help care for her many siblings. She attended Holy Ghost Elementary and Immaculate Conception High School in Dubuque, IA. She met Joseph Duvey in Dubuque, and they were married on January 23, 1954, in Dubuque at Holy Ghost Catholic Church. The couple did a great deal of camping, hunting & fishing over the years, hauling travel trailers across many states and living in them while they built and sold homes. They lived in Iowa, Illinois, Washington, Idaho & eventually settled in Thompson Falls, Montana. Carol had no problem handling guns and rifles, often shooting some of the biggest game while hunting including a large elk in 1997.
