Obituaries
Dale was born Nov. 26th, 1927, in rural Olin, Iowa, the son of Johann and Gesine (Hults) Neunaber. He attended school in Olin and graduated from Olin High School in the Class of 1945. He entered the U.S. Army in March 1946 and proudly served his country during World War II. On December 9th, 1950, he married Leona Tapken in Cedar Rapids. They made their home in Anamosa and were members of St. Paul Lutheran Church, and later became members of Wayne Zion Lutheran Church. He was employed as a machinist at Kwik Way Engineering, He retired in 1989.
Dale was proud of his military Service and was a member of AMVETS and the American Legion, as well as the Cedar Valley Carving Club due to his fondness of wood carving. He also enjoyed gardening and building hot air engines from scratch.
Dale passed away Wednesday, June 21st, 2023.
