Activities in Action
Welcome July,
Hope you are all enjoying the nice summer weather as much as we are! Any chance we get, residents are going outside to soak up the sun and get some fresh air. During the month of July, we are continuing to follow group activity guidelines. These guidelines include only having small group activities with 10 or less residents while maintaining 6ft apart. Independent materials and 1:1 room visits are still provided for those residents that prefer to stay in their room to group activities. This month we have some fun activities planned to celebrate Independence Day such as making patriotic flag kabobs and bald eagle drawings. We will also be tie dying masks for residents to wear and conducting a “colorful” science experiment. Hair express will continue every Thursday at 10:00 am until our professional hair stylist is able to come back to the care center. FaceTime, Skype, phone calls, and window visits are always welcome. If you would like to set up a time to talk with your loved one, please call the care center at 319-462-4356 and we will gladly get a time set.
Have a fun and safe 4th of July!
