Activity in Action

Hello Everyone!

March is here and we are ready for spring!! We have lots planned for this month ahead. Starting off we are celebrating Mardi Gras with making necklaces and mask and getting to know a little about how it all began. Then we will be making door decorations for St. Patrick’s Day and then at the end of the week we will be celebrating Employee Appreciation Day with making Thank You cards for the staff.

The following week we are getting ready to bring spring to the building! We are hoping that March brings warmer weather to melt all this snow! In the meantime, we will be painting the flowerpots and then plant flowers in them. We are going to be making a stand glass butterfly to brighten up the rooms. Then we will be making a paper quilt with the residents as well.

The residents will be excited to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with a March themed Bingo game which I am sure they will enjoy. We have a science experiment that we will be doing called the melting rainbows. I hope they enjoy it! Towards the end of the month, we will be making dirt cups (but not the dirt cups you might think) they are crushed Oreo’s and then gummy worms.

I am excited to see what this month is going to bring I know we will have a handful of residents birthday’s to celebrate too! I hope you a great month and Happy St. Patrick’s Day!!
