Spring is upon us!! We are excited to see the snow melt and green grass pop. There are many things to look forward to this month. Daylight saving, celebrating St. Patrick’s Day, and the first day of spring! Residents will be celebrating St. Patrick throughout the month as they will “travel” to Ireland, learn about tales of the Irish, make a shamrock pin, have a clover scavenger hunt, play a fun musical chair grab bag game, and have a St. Patrick’s Day Pub Crawl.

Daylight savings is on Sunday, March 14th. Don’t forget to spring you clocks forward! The official first day of spring is Saturday, March 20th. Residents will be painting owl planters and planting flowers in them that week. Every Wednesday morning, we will be doing a new exercise called drums alive. This exercise class with involve a large ball and drumsticks. Be looking on our Facebook page to see a live video of the fun new exercise program.

In March we celebrate March Forth and Do Something Day. We are “marching forth” and volunteering to a cause that means so much to us. Residents will be making tie blankets to donate to animal shelters. We started making these in February and will continue to make as many as we can in March.

Have a great March filled with lots of good luck!
