Jim Jaeger

James Henry Jaeger (Jim), 76, of Anamosa, passed away Aug. 10, 2023 after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease. Jim might say that his life actually really started fully when he met Kathy. They hit it off quickly and like they had been made for each other. They married March 18, 1995 and lived 28 beautiful and love filled years together where they enjoyed traveling, music, antiques and visiting friends all over the USA. Jim was many things to many people; husband, father and friend. But his favorite title was Papa Jim.

Robert Swartz

Robert “Bob” Earl Swartz, 97, passed away Monday Aug. 14, 2023, in Anamosa. Per his wishes, there will be no services. Bob was born June 13, 1926, to Otis and Dorothy (Meek) Swartz in Anamosa, Iowa. He married Betty Thompson, and together they had two children. Bob worked many years for the Iowa DOT as a communications technician. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy. He loved his family and his two cats.

 

Gerry Russell

Geraldine Russell, 96, died Saturday, August 19, 2023, at the Anamosa Care Center. Geraldine L. Russell was born April 16, 1927, at Anamosa, Iowa. She was the daughter of Elmer and Idel Clymer, Russell. Gerry graduated from the Anamosa Community Schools in 1948. She went on to graduate from the Paris Academy of Beauty Culture in 1949. She operated her shop from her home for 30 years. Gerry then went to work at Emerson Electric and retired in 1986.
