Job Description
Under the supervision of the Director of Nursing, the charge nurse is responsible for supervising nursing staff members who provide direct resident care, communicating with all healthcare providers and partners, coordinating and implementing nursing care as ordered by the physician and agreed to by the resident, and documenting those timely, accurately and comprehensively. Responsible for the provision of nursing services within the scope of his/her license and in compliance with current standards of practice and corporate and facility policies/procedures. Following the plan of care, and insuring the overall health and well-being of the resident.

Current, active Iowa Nursing license, experience in Long term care with knowledge and understanding of Federal and State nursing facility rules and regulations, including licensing, OSHA, CDC, and public safety. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills specific to the English language.

Weekend Package:

Weekend Package Option schedules are defined as two weekend shifts (minimum 6 hours each) as defined by the facility.
The weekend is defined as a shift commencing with the 5:30pm (night shift) on Friday and ending with the 5:30pm (Day shift) on the following Sunday.
The employee must commit to working 8 out of 9 weekends.
Employees are required to work 8 weekends in a row with the 9th off unpaid.
It is expected that the employee will work on the Weekend Package Option for a minimum of six (6) months.
